Day 99

August 26, 2009
Burial site for Josiah Henson. He was a runaway slave who used the underground railroad to come to Canada and to freedom. He lived a great deal of his life in Dresden, Ont. He was the inspiration for Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. We took a tour of the little village and saw the house he and his family lived in. What a story and if your ever in this part of the world make sure you stop in to "Uncle Tom's Cabin" in Dresden, you will be glad you did.
